Todd Rundgren's Utopia had a live Track originally called "Utopia", and later called "Utopia Theme" on later pressings. This live performance took place on November 8, 1973 performance at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia. I attended the concert, which cost only 5.00 general admission. The PA system was discrete quad, and this track made exceptional use of the surround channels. I have always hoped that a quad mix would one day show up, but alas, I've never seen one.
Does anyone know if this was even recorded in quad?
I seem to remember that in addition to a playback 2-track Todd had on stage for his solo set, that they also had 2 machines at the sound desk.
Any ideas on this?

Intriguing story, Keith--sounds like another quad/Runt near-miss. But it would be great to hear something surface.

Also: great to see your name on a post. Welcome back!

[P.S.: quick Google search doesn't turn up much--apart from an old, inconsequential QQ thread, and this conversation from the Progressive Ears forum.]
