What MOVIE SOUNDTRACK.....would you want to be the 1st to be released in ATMOS sound if done properly?!

LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. Just purchased the newly recorded 2 disc set of the COMPLETE SCORE and could only imagine how effective it would sound in discrete ATMOS or even 5.1.

Just watching Easy Rider......forgot how amazing that soundtrack is.....That would be AWESOME in ATMOS

I watched the Native UHD4K of Easy Rider a few months ago and it was spectacular. The only issue remixing these soundtrack albums in 5.1 and/or Atmos is the licensing fees entailed from all the individual artists which can be costly and probably not cost effective in the end.

Just enjoy the soundtracks that come with the movies.....Big Chill and Easy Rider both have 5.1 remasters just not nearly as discrete as one could hope for.

Well, technically I would say Pink Floyd at Pompeii (it's a soundtrack!). ;)

Otherwise.....I dunno if this would be a popular choice, but my favorite soundtrack........The Crow. I think some of those tracks would be mind-blowing in a surround mix, and hopefully Robert Smith would hear Burn and go all in on surround mixes of The Cure's catalog. (wishful thinking)

Big Chill would be an obvious choice. But I am older than many of you, I think so I am going to say Casino Royale. Not the one from a few years ago, the Burt Bacharach one from 1967! I love that soundtrack.

There's obviously not a lot needs to be done (or perhaps could be done) with "2001: A Space Odyssey". But if possible, ATMOS could enhance the main theme into the rafters, the Ligeti "moonwalk" soundstage, the Jupiter II ambiance, and sky's the limit for the psychedelic sequence. If this could be done without seriously hampering Kubrick's original soundstage "vision", that would be a worthy undertaking.

Just run this through your SM V.2, Pupster, and it'll sound good as GOLD!

For one... that's as pricey as Gold or more, and two... that's not Atmos, and three... It's not the actual movie soundtrack, and four... I don't wear skirts or kilts, but you're welcome to Ralphie, and be prepared for those cold winter drafts in New York. 😄

So am I to assume from your Post, Pupster, that you're an Atmos~lovin' COMPLETIST with an utter distaste for garish garb and adept at dodging drafts?
