We do not condone the illegal sharing of music. There are many places on the internet where you can participate in such transactions, but QuadraphonicQuad is not one of them. We are here to encourage and support new multichannel releases from those companies that still provide them and as such the distribution of illegal copies of recordings is counter-productive to that effort. Please try to avoid discussions that pit one format against another. Hint for new users: make liberal use of the search facilities here at QuadraphonicQuad. Our message base is an incredibly rich resource of detailed information on virtually all topics pertaining to surround-sound. You will be surprised at what you can find with a little digging!

Nice. I saw them at the Mabuhay Gardens "the Fab Mab". Must have been 1979 or 80
I saw them shortly after Catholic Boy was released at The Pier in Raleigh, NC in 1980. Place was packed, so 3 of my brothers and I kept making our way to the stage. When we got to the stage, there wasn’t enough room for me to stand, so I climbed the stage and sat near a monitor for the entire show! Amazing that no one told me to scoot.

Thanks to Joe for these three 2020 releases:

From Legal Eagles to Tijuana Brass 1958 - 1962 - Herb Alpert UK CD
I've been looking for many of his pre-TJB records for years!!

Step Up - Tower of Power CD
Produced by Gino's Brother the very talented Joe Vannelli and the great Emilio Castillo

Singles A's & B's and more 1949 - 1953 All Over this Land - The Weavers UK 2 CD
These are the original US Decca versions, not the Vanguard remakes.
