I am back I have been blocked from the QQ site for week or so, I could log in but had no means of communicating to anybody it might of been a glitch or not I don`t now. Every time I logged in a message at the top said.

My email address has been the same since I came a member I have had no trouble with my email up till now?????

I got on to the QQ face book site asked if any member there could get in contact with a Admin here at QQ to fix the problem so it looks like I am back and it`s fixed?????

And yes I have a back log of Quad goodies to show.
And thanks for your concern everybody I am fine still kicking...

I had the same trouble in January. Your system is too touchy when an ISP goes down. It should keep trying. And there is no way to contact QQ if you have only one email address.

I see what that is now, at first blush, looked like Janis Ian

Japanese label founded by the Enka/Kayokyoku composer Minoru Endoh (遠藤実) in 1965

Here is a listing of Minourophone RM (QS) recordings from 1975 .

And the QS advertisement from Schwann's 1974 monthly magazine , with all of the various Labels..... all compatible for Sansui Decoding or using QS variants.

If one doesn’t already exist here on the QQ (and I’m not seeing one fizzy) we need a definitive list of MATRIX QUAD encoded titles on a digital format- i.e. CD, DVD, SACD, HDTracks, Qobuz etc. Guess they’d be single inventory type stuff.

Mark Anderson’s listings are wonderful of course, but I believe they are blended in with the analogs.IINM.

Also another Poll thread section doesn’t seem appropriate either

Over the past few months I've picked up two notable LP's

This one came from a regional record shop, which like a CD-4 double-LP sampler, I had seen back in 2019 but hadn't been able to get back to the shop since due to attending University and COVID closures. And like that CD-4 LP, it was still there, so I decided to pick it up too. Not sealed, but still in the shrink wrap with the historical stickers.


And this one, an Ebay purchase, because the likelihood of finding a copy in person are slim.

Most matrix quads we find are available via CD. I only know of 3 on SACD , Santana LOTUS , HERBIE HANCOCK-Sextant , and AIRTO DEODATO/AIRTO MOREIRA-LIVE.

On DVD BUDDY RICH -Channel One Suite , and David Bowie -Serious Moonlight.
And possibly The Firesign Theatre -Everthing You Know Is Wrong .

Sorry about that:
The pcm stereo contains the SQ matrix on the DVD'S ,however there is no stereo on the Buddy Rich , so 2 then.

And Yes I have all 3 .

From what I understand the 5.1 was decoded via a Fosgate Tate II. I think that there is a thread about it.

That David Bowie - Serious Moonlight sounds like crap to me in 5.1 dts or dd. If that's what they did, an upmix ...they failed miserably .

However the Buddy Rich is an upmix and sounds quite good , plus it is quad discrete.
BTW Ken Rasek has a small video on that DVD where he explains how it was encoded and then upmixed.

Edit : I forget if he mentions the entire decode process ,but it would've been a NEW Fosgate Tate 2 right out of the box.
