Cool find 😉
Believe it or not ,"Sam The Man"..Taylor , has 3 quad albums on Crown Records .
BBQ has one so maybe he can comment ? Lucky find though, 🚸 pupsi , Hope you didn't have to pay too much.

And Now... I'm wondering if any made it to CD ?
no, fairly good prices IMO, but only listed as VG+, and doubt they include OBI, but since they're not CD-4, thought fair enough. Don't believe they're particularly rare, just not on folk's radar.

Coming from Japan surprisingly ;), bundled it with this other one in QX I've had my eye on-

what are the other Sam Taylor Quads you found fizzy?

These are the Crown Records listings with Sam Taylor 's albums.

Although I was never able to confirm their existence, I tried to track these down as part of my discography post about Crown records and came to the conclusion that they were 7" singles culled from the full-length album GW-7036Q. The song titles (roughly translated as they are) seem to match up, as 'Come to the Snow Country' is definitely track B3 on that album.

I'm also not sure that the 'LW' prefix is correct, as LW-1253Q as seen in the wild was actually CW-1253Q. It's also possible that these two Sam Taylor singles were announced but never released - I did some searching for them on jauce (and google) and can't find any trace of either of them.

I've finally acquired all 4 SQ LPs from the CBS/Sony Best Hits '75 series. Every other album from that series is in Stereo. I've always loved Japanese Pop from the '70s and early '80s and these are a lot of fun to listen to. The mixes are pretty solid and are in regular rotation in my flat.

The Momoe Yamaguchi was released on Quad SACD years ago and is nearly impossible to find. I wish the other three had been released on SACD as well.

I love the hype sticker I found with the Candies LP announcing both SQ and the use of the then recent Neumann SX-74 Cutting Head, which was replacing the SX-68.

K. Tanaka & Super Session – British Rock Live In Japan (QS CD 1972/2016)

Kiyoshi Tanaka a Japanese drummer was well represented in releases of the '70's Quad era. Here're some Quad titles with him on them (a few of which I own)-

https://www.discogs.com/artist/761601-Kiyoshi-Tanaka?query=QUADRAPHONIC
I happened upon this release from 1972 in QS LP format, while doing some research, but the LP sells for outrageous amounts; then I noticed a fairly recent QS encoded CD version of it (which is fairly unusual these days.) This one was available at still relatively high dollars for a CD, but I put extra value on such things, since it is truly Matrixed Quadraphonic! So of course I had to pick one up :)

Here's the original release-

and here's the QS CD release which I decoded through my Involve Surround Master v2.

This is some wild Live '70's Psychedelic Rock, that give tribute to various British Rock Bands - i.e.
Track 1 - 'Trip To West Coast From Britan' -> The Grateful Dead, Atomic Rooster, The Mothers Of Invention Zappa & Uriah Heep.
Track 2 - 'Echos' -> Pink Floyd
Track 3 - 'Jimi Hendrix Mad Song' -> Jimi Hendrix

I'd say it's a fairly descent mix for QS and the fact it is a live recording. Seems to be more of a side to side mix than more discrete sounding front to rear.

Waaay..Kool find , pupsi.😉

This was one of the only non-classical, non-easy listening, non-Broadway musical records available at my local public library when they first started carrying albums back in 1975. I checked it out because the other selections didn't appeal to me (i clearly was NOT their target audience!). Things were never the same after i heard Jeff Beck! Had to get this one to hang on the wall in my Quad Listening Room!

Yet ANOTHER Quadraphonic LP still in shrinkwrap! I'm a little nervous about opening this one, as it seems to be a rarity, but i didn't buy it NOT to listen to it! Reading about it really intrigued me, and since i'm going to listen to it through the SM v.2, and since the band is from Australia, and since its subject matter is right up my alley, it was a no-brainer purchase!
