Caravanserai Japan Quad SACD yesterday afternoon.

Bought Morph the Cat on CD/DVD-A and in MVI CD/DVD-V box. Also caught Fagen live at Chicago theater on Morph tour, and again w/Dan in Tinley Park, IL w/Becker & McDonald that summer. YOU NEED MORPH!!

Caravanserai arrived today, a day earlier than anticipated. Have now successfully ripped it to SACD.iso, and also dsf files in multichannel and stereo.

Per the CD, it is a a hybrid 5.1 surround SACD. It's a Capitol 2003 digital Remaster.

I got Morph the Cat today. Wow. Feels like old Steely Dan and the surround mix is great.

I have to admit that it's taken me a few years to fully appreciate that album, but man, I'm seriously diggin' it now.

I'm thinking they must mean Dark Side of the Moon (the 2003 SACD 5.1 on Capitol).

Made another research stop at Princeton, and of course had to visit PREX. They had a lot of SACDs (I mostly already had) for $1-6, but getting the Biggs Bach SACD for $25 was still the greatest bargain on offer.

Made another research stop at Princeton, and of course had to visit PREX. They had a lot of SACDs (I mostly already had) for $1-6, but getting the Biggs Bach SACD for $25 was still the greatest bargain on offer.

nice find!!! that Biggs Freiburg SACD's long been a pricey one, it set me back £70 back in 2012!

it would be hard to find another hi-res disc that sounded better. i really like Security Joan and Mary Shut the Garden Door

Not really. Seemed diminished. There was stuff along the same lines as before.

Congrats. This one of my first surround discs, making it a special favorite.
