Just finishing up with a QS LP decode and conversion of this one.

First I was floored to find, unless I'm mistaken, (via discogs only so far) that I'm only finding a couple of releases on LP in 1974 and nothing else since.

Also, on the discogs page (taken from the inside cover I assume) of the version I have, there's a mistake, the times are swapped on tracks 1 & 2.

Michael White - Father Music, Mother Dance

-a nice 6 song set of Jazz that showcases the Bass guitar of Kenneth Jenkins quite a bit. From what I'm hearing the main bass line on the first track "Father Music, Mother Dance" is basically the same as on track #4 "Way Down Inside" but with the tempo slowed down on track 4.

A little bit of Moog synth. on track number 4 that make it interesting also.

The way some of it was recorded & mixed, with the percussion and stuff like 'Pepper Filled Kodak Film Can Shake' etc., makes some of it sound a little fuzzy to me; but could just be my old ears and the limitations of my LP and system.

Overall, I'd say music wise I like his "The Land of Spirit and Light" more.

I'm going to give this one an 8, but I'm still getting acquainted with it.
