Chrissie Hynde-She's no Pretender
Joan Jett-Total Badass
Tina Turner-She got better as she got older
Ann Wilson-Nobody does Stairway to Heaven as well
Diana Ross-she's old school but she dominated during her prime, she survived Motown, for a woman in that time period, that says it all

Males:
Jim Morrison-without him The Doors would have played state fairs and bar mitzvahs
David Bowie-Ziggy Stardust to Major Tom, he sang about it and lived it
Chuck Berry-He was doing things in the 50's that others would copy decades later, and I'm not talking about the duckwalk
Steve Perry- A voice for the ages, I remember sitting in the football stadium in Philly listening to him sing and thinking, Rolling Stones Who?, as they were the headliners
Elton John-just a volume of songs that is hard to beat
