Not familiar with this artist. What type of music is it?

Apparently he's a style unto himself, but brilliant, and does not want to be famous (hence the various names he uses). Here's a good link about him in Wikipedia:-

Here's also a favourable review at the amazon's UK website about the CD version of the same album where it is headed: "Outstanding return to form from visionary genius" . . .

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Letting-Go-...ef=sr_1_1/202-5282382-6495036?ie=UTF8&s=music

And here's an interesting article about him in "The Observer" newspaper in which he's described as: " . . . the finest songwriter to come out of America in the past 10 years.":-

I'll be getting this DVD-A.

If you've heard the Johnny Cash album Solitary Man: American III, the song "I See a Darkness" (to me probably the best thing on there) is a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy original (and, again to me, the Billy/Oldham original is better than the Cash cover).
I already have the CD on preorder, but I ordered the DVD Audio as well just now.
Thanks for the heads up! (y)

I'm happy to say my copy shipped yesterday.
Now, if I could only get my 5 channel Meridian poweramp back from repairs, so I can try the surround when the disc arrives.

well i ordered a copy from Domino (the record company) and it arrived yesterday (much to my wifes displeasure, a pacake has arrived every day this week !!!), well worth the money to quote an old Dire Straits B-Side Not only a DVDA but also badges posters stickers (and t-shirts).

Nice to see a small record company making an effort in teh Hi rez world and another gem of a DVD which i might have missed had it not been for the folks here.

My only compliant is the packaging of the DVDA itsself is a cardboard sleve which you have to bend right back to get podgey fingers into and retrieve the disc.

Nice music descrete plesent mix, and somthing new on my shelf. its turning into a great DVDA year now.

I received mine yesterday as well, listening to it for the third time atm (downmixed to 2ch, still waiting to get my 5ch power amp back. Still sounds good).

And it's been a great past couple of weeks for hi-rez at my house, what with this release, the Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance, and Geinoh Yamashirogumi's Symphonic Suite AKIRA 2002 (the OST for the anime movie AKIRA, one of my favourite soundtracks) remixed to 24/96 4.1 MLP.
