Recently purchased a Sansui QS-100 'rear amplifier' unit, from around 1971 I think, which is a QS decoder and a 2-channel amplifier. It was meant to provide owners of a regular 2-channel stereo amplifier with both a quad decoder and the missing 2 rear channels, instead of forcing them to buy a full quad amplifier.

It goes beautifully with my AU-888 amplifier as it has the exact same knobs, buttons and front panel finishing. Probably not the best QS decoder?

I think I paid way too much (~$160 incl. shipping), but what the hack, it's a rare find on this side of the Atlantic. What do you guys think of that price?

It works fine, but a future recap and readjustments would be in order.

Therefore: would anybody have a service manual (original, copy, PDF) ?

Here some pictures.

Nice! My first piece of quad gear was a Sansui QS-500, IIRC. It was a nice combo with my Sansui 5000 receiver, but I eventually replaced both with a QRX-7001. Wish I had a good picture of the -500; no longer with me.
