This is the first time I have seen a picture even of it. I came across a listing on Amazon before one of the European Amazon sites while looking for soemthing else. However there was no picture to indicate it was a dvd-audio and many listings there will claim dvd and not mention dvd-audio specifically

I'm familiar with the 5.1 DD side to this... Not worth the given price if you ask me. Then again, if you're desperately in need of a HR/HM MC fix, this one won't do you any harm. It's better sonically than mix-wise, even at Dobly. Also, there's 2 bonus album tracks, 4 EP tracks (all in MC), 2 videos and some studio footage.

Actually I am not interested at that price either. I noticed that it says advanced resolution and DVD-audio on it doesnt that mean it also has to have at least 24/48 lossless resolution? besides I got a very good deal from a ebay auction on Paul Van Dyk "Reflections" SACD 68,04 Euros:banana:

I'm 100% positive this release does justice to the Advanced Resolution logo on its cover. Nuclear Blast label most certainly did know what DVD-A was all about (Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, HammerFall...).

As for Van Dyk, congrats on a really nice price! On the other hand, I think this disc is to the dance/electronic scene probably the same what Edguy is to the metal one.

We shall see. I dont think there really is any trance type genre music on SACD except maybe the DJ Jean 2 song sampler. Electronic to me covers a wide range. As far as I am concerned anything not live and unamplified is "electronic" Thus if its recorded its Electronic. However I do recognize different genres of the music known as Electronica and Dance. Now when Uberzone comes out with some surround that will be good. I am not good with abreviations what is HR/HM?

I've checked my copy of this disc and it is a DVD-A (PPCM 48K according to my Panasonic player). The music is basically thrash metal but the mix is discrete although front heavy with the rears being used for effects. At least all the tracks are in hi-res including the bonus tracks with only the video clips being in stereo. A bit stereotyped but at least the band don't take it all too seriously.
