CR-80D-SS QB Restoration

I received my rebuilt CR-80D-SS from QuadBob a week or so ago and thought I would take the chance to show it off here. Only problem is I'll soon finish re-archiving my Q8 collection and then will not be able to suppress the urge to shop for more.

Note the QB special meter lamp mod :sun

Cool. I have one of these decks I'd like to have running like new. It works but not as well as it should. How much was the Quad Bob restoration?

How much was the Quad Bob restoration?

I'll have to ask you to email QuadBob for a price quote. I can say that it is much less than a QRX-9001 restoration.

In addition to lighting up the dials, QB replaced all caps and aligned the heads perfectly. Also the record level knobs were modified to control the output level -- a real handy mod for archiving.
