Well I restart this one as far as I remember it's QS encoded, and good music
IDK about that, never remember hearing about that anywhere; but here is a recent NAMM 2024 appearance of "semi-retired" and shaking 😢 Larry. Wearing casual attire also (hey, I've got comfy jeans that look just like his )

He can still do that "LC-shit" pretty good though...

Unless someone who was involved with Blue Thumb Records can confirm its status....it's stereo and just sounds good with a quad Synthesis.

There were very many potential quad encodes for Blue Thumb , that I've come across....but unfortunately only 2 can be confirmed and QS or Sansui encoded are indicated on those 2 album jackets.

I'll spin this a bit further (for Quad/Multi-channel sake.)

Doing some basic research on albums that have Larry Carlton on them (either as guitarist, producer, arranger etc.)
Sans any live or video type releases, which there are many of those as well.

and I'd bet this is only a partial listing (any others known, please post them up!)-

Yes it's true LC played on many releases. I still ponder the lack of releases featuring him in mch. I have a few obscure BD releases where he played with Robben Ford live at the Paris venue, and at Montreux. Also in DVD format. I see now not all were DD exclusively but rare cases DTS.
Anyway here is what I can scrape up quickly from my drives.
DVD:
Larry Carlton & Robben Ford - Unplugged (DD-DTS 5.1) [DVDV]
Larry Carlton & The Sapphire Blues Band - (2008) - New Morning The Paris Concert (DD-DTS 5.1) [DVDV]
BD:
Larry Carlton & Robben Ford - Autour Du Blues [BDV]
Larry Carlton -(2005)- Steve Lukather Band - The Paris Concert (2001) [BDV]

I think there may be a few with Rittenour as well but can't locate them right this minute.
Not going to dig through discogs.
