I purchased the Mercury Living Presence SACD of the Byron Janis Rachmaninoff 2/3. It would not play on my Pioneer 563. I have read on other sites there is a problem with this disc. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I wrote an email on the Mercury website to see if there were any plans to re-release the disc..but I got no response. Does anyone know of any plans?
BTW, I had not fully listened to the Rach #3 before listening to this disc (I was able to get to the CD layer). The third movement is incredible and I am hooked on listening to it. Would like to get an SACD version I could play.
