Chip Identification

Don't know if this might be helpful or not to anyone trying to fix a decoder, etc.

I know there are interchange manuals etc. that state if a different chip will substitute for another, etc.

And, identifying chips can be helpful at times.

Ah. I'll second that! I may now be able to fix my ancient VCD player thorugh some of this info / links. Passable quality (& non-perishing) viewing of P.U.L.S.E and Pompii sessions, here I come, after fours years of viewing through a PC player!
