Hi mixing peeps,
Thought maybe I should make a post here. I'm in the process of building a computer for mixing and acquiring software and other hardware needed.
Just picked up an old Kenwood 5.1 receiver and speakers to try to use with the computer. I might have to get something newer and better eventually, but it will be a start and it met the budget.
My hope is to be able to remix some of my own band recordings and pick up mixing as a hobby. Maybe help out friends I know.
My primary interest is surround, but I guess I'll have to learn mono and stereo too.
Anyway, is this a good forum for n00by questions?
I'm already on SBU and have been learning a LOT.
