Pretzel Logic Canadian Q8 - What's the deal?

OK, now that the bidding is over, what is the deal with this Q8? Is this a different mix than the crappy US Q8? (I hope so for that price).

Is this something I should have sniped? What's the consensus, folks?

Could just be one of those "rare" cases of folks paying a lot more then something is worth.

It's my understanding the canadian Q8 actually contains a quad mix, the US Q8 just has double stereo.

Ah yes, the Pretzel Logic quad mix. One of the great unsolved head-scratchers of MC history.

Believe it or not, I think it actually is quad, although the separation can only be detected by carefully calibrated instruments. Some actual rear reverb on "Monkey in Your Soul", front-to-back guitar delay on the Ellington tune. I once thought the Parker's Band coda actually had a sax in each corner, but that may have been wishful thinking.

Although a nominee, still won't win worst quad mix of all time.
At the very least, faithful to the original.
But then again, double stereo would fit that bill just as nicely.

Anyone have a clue how a stillborn piece of crap like this ever came to bear the Dan's stamp of approval?
