Sony 555: ok for cd4?

Anyone is using this for cd4 playback? Does it works ok?

What type of cartridge mount does it use? I cannot tell from the photo.

It is probably OK, but it looks like it might be a P mount cartridge. I am sure there are some P mount carts that would work, but the AT331LP was discontinued, so the options availlable will probably be expensive. You need to find out if low capacitance wiring was installed, but the era is right. Other than that it should work. Linear trackers were supposed to improve CD-4, but I have never used one, so I don't know if it is true.

On the "specs" page it does report the capacitance for the wiring... but i don't have any clue if this is good or not.

It's a 1/2" standard mount, and has 60pf/meter, 87,5pf total.
