Steve Vai "Where The Wild Things Are" Blu Ray

Again, I'm happy to have Vai on film, and I'll always have the live show I attended in my mind, but as many have said, the BD could have been better. Issuing something on BD nowadays without at least DTS and 1080p as the standard is just wrong. I just watched part of the BD of Certifiable and was amazed at the quality! Nice video, nice audio! Truly a reference disc!

After playing the plain old DVD of the Police's Certifiable last night, I came to the conclusion that this Vai disc was a waste of time and money. It really does have a wimpy mix and the picture quality is not that impressive.

I guess some bands get it right and some don't when it comes to capturing a live performance.

You should see and hear the Police concert in BR. It's very impressive. Like I said before, this is not a true BR disc. To be that it needs 1080 video and DTS MA or Dolby TrueHD audio.
