Your reminder saved me a few dollars Ralph! I ordered both Tennesee Ernie Ford & Dr. John SACD in stereo.
Glad to be of service. The Dr. John disc I understand is OUTSTANDING. I have a few of those Atlantic Records 75th Anniversary Stereo SACDs and they are SPECTACULAR!

AmazonUS is offering the PET SHOP BOYS NONETHELESS Pure Audio BD~A ATMOS/LPCM Stereo 96/24 disc with slipcover for $20.79.

Is it my imagination or was this supposed to be an SDE exclusive [for which I paid double with s/h from the UK]?

The “exclusivity” on this one was definitely a bit loosey-goosey. I was all set to buy it from SDE, then happened to see this in the comments section on the pre-order announcement post:

“Thanks! Happy to answer these questions. This is not officially part of the SDE Surround Series, although PSBs have given SDE an exclusive. It’s not available anywhere else right now although it could become available elsewhere (artist store etc.) at a later date. However this slipcased version is totally exclusive to SDE. Hope that helps.”

It's not an SDE exclusive.
The slipcover was specified as exclusive:

Pet Shop Boys forthcoming album Nonetheless will be available on a special blu-ray edition which is now available to pre-order exclusively via the SDE shop.

The region-free blu-ray audio features a Dolby Atmos Mix and a Hi-Res Stereo Mix (96/24) of the album and also includes the official video for the first single, ‘Loneliness’, directed by Alasdair McLellan.

The SDE pre-order includes an exclusive slipcase...

Wow! That's an expensive slipcase. It doubled the price. This doesn't feel good.

There are 6 Cat Stevens albums which were remixed for surround and some I understand are just double stereo

CAT STEVENS -
Buddha & the Chocolate Box. A&M QU-53623 (SQ), 8Q-53623 (Q8)
Catch a Bull at Four. A&M 8Q-54365 (Q8)
Foreigner. A&M QU-54391 (SQ), 8Q-54391 (Q8)
Greatest Hits. A&M QU-54519 (CD4), 8Q-54519 (Q8)
Tea for the Tillerman. A&M 8Q-54280 (Q8)
Teaser & the Firecat. A&M QU-54313 (Q8)
They are more than double stereo IMHO. Some (the first three) use an awful lot of reverb but still I love them all.

I've just been listening to my digital copy the Q8 of "Catch Bull at Four", I actually like it about as much as the two iconic albums that preceded it "Tea for the Tillerman" and "Teaser & the Firecat". This is my second Q8 copy, the first was a well used Canadian copy. That tape must need retensioning it plays off and on speed so it must be wound too tight, . This "new" US copy broke at the splice, sadly I wasn't watching, it continued to play partway through the first track until the tape spooled up and broke. I was able to repair it but it now has a brief abnormality during the first song on track one and two. Yes I'm still kicking myself for not pulling the tape out at the splice to check that it was still intact! I now have the Q8 player pulled apart so that I can see if anything is going wrong on playback!

By the way "Tea For The Tillerman" was the very first Q8 that I ever bought. I would be overjoyed if the first three quads (at least) were released in a modern format!
