To answer your question surteess...no idea what's in the back, not my photo....found it on the web a year and a half ago, after YEARS of looking for a decent photo of this rare amp and just HAD to add it to the database here.

These amp's apparently do turn up here in Australia, ( and pretty cheaply when they do..I've read)...but I've never seen one.

I worked in the business in the Quad days. I recall seeing it in print, but never in person. And I had friends who worked for all the competition and regularly visited their stores.

The other piece is a bit fuzzy, but it appears to be a JVC SEA-60, 10-band equalizer with a spectrum analyzer.

Hi , I'm new to this group and I have a question I was hoping someone can help me with. Is the Toshiba quadraphonic SB 514 amplifier worth buying? Is it any good, are there any problems with as far as factory defects? I own a Sansui QRX 5500 receiver and I was wondering if it is compatible with it? thanks.
