FYI, I got the "97th & Columbus" Hybrid Multichannel SACD by Doc Powell from Telarc's "Heads Up" Jazz label today.
The music is instrumental light jazz. Very similar to the "Glow" Multichannel SACD by Peter White on Columbia.
97th & Columbus has a very immersive surround mix in Multichannel. The first cut starts with a center channel only, AM sounding first couple of bars before filling the room with music in all channels.
The next cut, Breezin' features rear channel harmony vocals and a guitar mixed to the Left rear channel.
If you're into this kind of music, check the sound clips on the Heads Up web site at www.headsup.com/albums/3073.asp and give it a listen.
