Hi Rez Music & Toshiba SD 5700 & SD 4800

A year ago I posted on problems playing the "Hi Rez" releases on the Toshiba SD 5700. It displayed a "copyright" indication, and stopped playing. As Hi Rez had some really good jazz stuff, Herb Ellis, Charlie Byrd, etc, I was upset. I took these up to a cabin we have in Minnesota where I have an SD 4800, and tried it. Same problem. But when I played the Dorian Michael Accoustic Blues DVD-A first, even for a few minutes, and then played the Hi Rez discs, they played beautifully. Back home in Virginia I tried this with the SD 5700 and it worked too. So thought I'd share this if anyone else had the same problems with the Toshiba players. I had the earlier JVC 723 and it played them OK. Go figure.

Yes, it puzzled me for over a year. By the way I meant "Hi Res Music" not "Hi Rez". They have some nice material, but only do it in Stereo. Their Herb Ellis, Concord Jazz series is very nice.
