I've been experimenting with 4.0 since my last post and I'm a complete convert now. Thanks to Kal and others who convinced me the .1 channel is really unnecessary and restricts your options when listening to music. I also discovered my car deck enables base management if no .1 channel is present. And on top of that, with only 4 channels, I don't need MLP to create a 24bit/96k disk.
