Yeah, Warren Zevon is an exceptional songwriter who offers intellegent, scathing, and humorous insight on just about any topic he chooses to sing about. It is really sad to hear about his condition.

To quote a song of his from 1979:

I guess his final album "The Wind" has been out for a couple of weeks now. I thought it was still in production. I'll have to pick it up and say my final goodbye. Warren, you'll be missed.
