Is the M-Audio Delta 44 still a good sound capture card?

I'm thinking I want to jump on the conversion bandwagon and start learning things myself. But I do have a few questions.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit now. I'm still looking at the M-Audio Delta 44 sound card but I'm worried about compatibility issues due to it being older hardware. Before I throw down the cash, I saw this warning on an ebay auction: "This will not work with any PCI-E or PCI-X slots on either PC or Mac. "

Pretty sure my new PC only has PCI-E slots. Therefore, I think I'm hooped.

Whats everybody else using these days?

I've been using a MOTU 828. I've used the Mk II and upgraded to the Mk III about a year ago. The Mk II does 96Khz and the Mk III does 192 Khz; so the Mk II is equivalent to the M-Audio 44. Looks like they are going for about $300-$400 on eBay right now -- about twice as much as the M-Audio. But you get twice as many channels. (-:
