Pioneer DV-565: How do I know, what it is playing?

I am using a Pioneer DV-565, but there is no TV or screen connected to it, because I don't have one in my livingroom. I only use it for playing back DVD-A/SACD.
Initially I connect it to a TV to set it up. I had too choose: Always play Multichannel on SACD (The other choice was playing only Stereo)
But, when I put a Stereo-only SACD in it, how do I know that he is playing the SACD-Stereo Layer and NOT the normal CD-Layer?

I don't have the DV-565, but my DV-578 reads the disk when you first insert it and then displays on the player whether its a CD, SACD, DVD-A, DVD, JPEG...ect. If it reads SACD when initially read, then I would conclude that it is playing that layer.
