got a Saturn Vue early 2000s, the speakers are failing one by one.
They have rubber outer circles , I fixed other speakers with new parts but this size isn't
as readily common , I would have to trim a 6 inch abit, so instead I took black silicone permatex
and smeard entire rubber with extra thick at split point on 3 units.
They work great now. I once did that to player piano bellows 25 years ago and though they leaka little more
they still are intact and work today....

Closest thread I could find. I've recently noticed that the "surrounds" or "rubber outer circles" on my surrounds are showing cracks. Probably should have treated them with the silicone spray on a swab now and again. Has any QQ'r dealt with that issue? I've recently seen sets to replace them, thoughts on a solution?
