Initially when this was mentioned during the CES it was to be a 3D Blu-Ray Player without 4k and would play all audio disc's including DVD-AUDIO....... Have been waiting since January for info on this unit, today on Sony's website it is now 4k and actually does play DVD-AUDIO along with SACD. I've yet to see a price but it doesn't have the analog outputs like the Oppo's. Curious to see how this performs. What they are calling a Premium Audio, Video Player http://www.sony.com/electronics/audio-components/uhp-h1#4K enhancement

And I will (if I buy it ) try HD DVDs and 3D Blu-Rays

According to Sony's blurb it is NOT a true 4K player but upscales to 4K. http://www.sony.com/electronics/audio-components/uhp-h1/specifications

And there's NO mention of DVD~Audio playback. SACD, YES.

Your link is to the SONY UHP-h1.

With that link for some reason it puts you at the 4k enhancement, scroll up to see under the title the play anything player. And you'll see the left side has the audio disc's it plays with a pic. of logo's

This link will be better

I guess I copied the first link when I was part way through the specs. I like others was skeptical that Sony would make a product that plays a competing format (dvd-a) and though it isn't in font anywhere they do have the dvd-audio logo and profess to playing all including digital download/streaming formats.
