Conquistador was Maynard Ferguson's ninth studio album and sole quad release, issued on SQ matrix-encoded LP and quad 8-track in 1977. Featuring the hit single "Gonna Fly Now (Theme From Rocky)", the gold-certified album earned Ferguson a grammy nomination and reigniting interest in the big band genre.
