On some of the surround discs out there, there are some really great bonus tracks that people may have overlooked.... or aren't aware of because they're hidden or not obvious ..

Some examples of great "extras" or bonus tracks that I can think of are:

Fallen Angel (Trio Mix) from King Crimson - Red - for me this is the ulimtate "deconstrucktion of the King"...
Shesmovedon from Porcupine Tree - Deadwing - hidden in the the "Beating Heart" in the Extras menu.. different from the Lightbulb Sun version..
Time Machine from Alan Parsons - A Valid Path - hidden in the discography section
Burning Down the House (Alternate Version) from Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues - love it - think of it as a "80's extended EP mix done in surround"
Homeworld (5.1 album version mix) from the House of Yes DVD - OK - but the mix isn't great(n)
Hey You from the The Wall movie DVD - Not bad, but not a great mix (wonder who did it??)
Twilight Alehouse & Paperlate - from the Extras discs in their respective Genesis box sets
America from Yes - Fragile DVD-A & SACD
Casa Dega from Tom Petty etc - Damn the Torpedos

What are your Favourites?

Wow! What a thread, Lizard King. Gotta pull a few discs out. Some Reg Dwight for sure. Think I'll start with my fave: Tumbleweed Connection.

"Love the original Grey Seal....."

Why's it never light on my lawn?@:

David Bowie's Heathen SACD: Conversation Piece
Roxy Music's Avanlon SACD (extra multichannel track): Always Unknowing

Both are fave tracks of all my collection =)

Good thread. I never found the PT bonus track on the dvda; its available as a bonus on the cd. I'll have to look now. The weird thing about the Avalon track is they didn't put it on the cd layer or the stereo sacd layer. It was a single B side for this album. Agree with the above about Tommy.

Good thread. I never found the PT bonus track on the dvda;....

You can goto Title 3 on the disc to get Shesmovedon, or you need to arrow up & down a few times in the extras menu to "select" the beating heart & get to Shesmovedon.

Also other awesome PT bonus tracks are:

Lightbulb Sun:
Buying New Soul

Stupid Dream
Even Less (Full Length version) - Even More (as I Like to call it) &
Ambulance Chasing

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia DVD-A: Drown With Me (hands down)
Roxy Music - Avanlon SACD: Always Unknowing
Porcupine Tree - The Incident DVD-A: Black Dhalia
EJ GBYBR DVD-A: Lucy InThe Sky With Diamonds
Eagles - Hell Freezes Over DTS: Seven Bridges Road

Yup, these two; Candle In The Wind (Acoustic Version) and Lucky Man.

I'll toss in Silver Springs from 'Rumours'.

Lucky man - Elp
When a blind man cries - Deep Purple (never understood why that track was left out of MH... fits perfectly)

How about the only way to hear the Rolling Stones in High resolution 5.1

"Sympathy For The Devil" The 7th track on The Sympathy For The Devil maxi-single. Come to think of it every track on it is a bonus track found no where else in 5.1
