45 rpm 7" quad content

would a 45 sound better than a 33.3 sq LP.

There is a Simon and garfunkel Japanese SQ on ebay that I just cannot afford right now but am now wondering how much better a wider groove would express the matrix.

ps. havent seen any cd-4's... do they exist

I know one CD-4 45 was on Soundbird... the Bean Whistle Rag.

The only differences with the 45 are smaller size, less content, and faster speed. The groove and stylus are the same, though may have the volume compressed to fit the space of a single. This was also done on mono and stereo releases of longer content or with wide frequency response. Think how Hey Jude was shortened and compressed to fit a 7 inch single.
