I saw them during their first tour back in the early 70s. They were so enchanting, and I fell madly in love with Bonnie (who is also gone). Check out that first album, eponymously named. It is available via streaming and used vinyl only I believe I did a needle drop and SpecWeb'd it. It sounds great.
 
RIP Anita Pointer. I remember The Pointer Sisters first major hit, 1973's "Yes We Can Can" and their hit making run beginning with "Fire" in 1978.
