I have it and like some of the presets very much. However you are correct that too much of a good thing can wind up being a bad thing. I only use it sparingly. I am still getting used to all the settings within each part of the program.

I used it the other day for the first time in creating an LFE track for my Chicago project. (It's not the first time I used it, it's the first time I used it in this manner)

I was going to get the Voxengo GlissEQ, but then I remembered that Ozone would do the same thing. It worked pretty well. I then used Cai's suggestion in dumping it down 14 db. So far, my test results sound pretty good in the car and in the house.

I was never able to get over quite how grainy it sounds to me.
Better than T-RackS, but then again most things are better than that mess.
I guess I have been spoiled with my URS EQ/Comps & my UAD-1 cards though.

At the end of the day, all that matters is "Are you happy with the sound you are getting?" If "yes", then screw what anyone else thinks!
