A newly discovered 1962 set from "a trove of live recordings that Granz had stashed away decades ago."

"Using a new engineering software that allowed him to more precisely isolate the instruments and Fitzgerald's voice, [drummer and producer Gregg] Field filled out the low end of the recording and brought her singing to the front."

Could that be iZotope RX7, @JonUrban?

This is HUGE, humprof, hope it's released by Universal as a STEREO SHM~SACD .... PRONTO

In 1962, Ella Fitzgerald performed in Berlin. Norman Granz, her manager and Verve Records’s founder, stashed the recordings away; they were uncovered earlier this year.

Might be. There is a LOT of software out there now that allows you to really futz with stereo and mono recordings. However, you really have to be GOOD at it in order for it to really shine.

My parents loved Ella (and Louis) and all of their albums and played them endlessly when I was little. Great stuff really. I even have the HiRez Bluray of Ella and Louis from a few years ago, as well as the MFSL double CD
