Just a sampling of opinions sought from those who have these....
a) What title do you think was the best quad mix release of Elvis's?
b) What was the best performance of his on a quad release? (I believe all or most of these were live if I recall)
Like most folks here, I have the "Aloha" CD-4 but never bought any of his other stuff, at least from that era, I do have some of his early recordings from the 50's. So just in case I come across something...... John S.

Best Live performance I would have to say Live from Memphis or Las Vegas
'70. I enjoy Memphis 'cuz he's really show-boating for that crowd. Half of the fun is what he says to people and the music is great too. He was in good form that night. The band was also bang on.

Las Vegas is a great show. I wish they'd have released MORE of those shows.

Best STUDIO album I'd say would be the final one, "Today". Best mix, good tunes, decent output from E. The first studio album from '68 has wierd mixes - nothing makes much sense.... just instruments and voices thrown wherever. I do prefer that mix of "Loved on Look" as the background "shoop-shoops" are mixed way down low.

"Promised Land".... grrr.... hate this one. The ONE song I wanted (Promised land) was so hacked up in the quad version with the simulated echo that it just ruined the song. Who mixed that??? They deserve a good hard slap. I rank Promised Land (the song) right up there with Burning Love and Suspicious Minds. So to hear it bastardized in Quad just turned my stomach. All that waiting for a BIG let down.

Speaking of Elvis quad... here's a true odd release: RCA Quad riveted WHITE cart.
