Mountain - Best Of.... SQ LP and GRT Q8 ??

Why is it that the Best of album from Mountain appears on a (Windfall) GRT Q8 and a Columbia SQ LP? How does that work? Was there some sort of licensing deal between the two labels?

Does anybody have the SQ LP? How does it compare to the Q8?

I have the SQ album. Haven't played it in years but I remember it being an OK album for separation. Not great. It was much better played through my S&IC but I preferred the album with Mississippi Queen (Nantucket Sleighride??). The Best Of album seemed muddier. Never heard the Q8 so can't comment on that.
