My WD 1TB MyBook HDD seems to be F!cked!!!

So, as I type this I am trying to move all the files from my 1TB Western Digital My Book external to other drives. I keep getting errors that tell me I am getting the dreaded CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error. I had another My Book do this to me so I should have known better than to buy another one.

I have it split into two 500GB partitions and it is happening on both drives.

Anybody know how I can fix this? Or am I truly screwed again?

I have 7 other drives so space really isn't the issue. I would hate to think that I am out the $300 that I paid for this thing not that long ago.

I have already run chkdsk on the drives and it doesn't show any errors.

Crap. Can you pull the drives out and try them in the PC directly, or in another enclosure?

Jon is right, if you can pull the HD out of its enclosure you can connect directly to your pc and run S.M.A.R.T. application to see if it is damaged or be saved.
