New Post- big fan of quad!

Hi Everybody!!
I am an old longtime fan of quad. I used to sell stereo equipment at a large stereo shop in 1972-74. I fell in love with quad when I first heard it. Sold a lot of quad equipment then. I still have boxes of quad tapes I am converting to DTS-CDs. When I am done I will start on my SQ discs and CD4 discs. I have 2 nice quad reel to reels I will later sell. Also have a quad recording in SQ of Cheap Trick from 1977. Long live QUAD!!!

Hi Robby, welcome to QQ, you will enjoy your time here.

No critisims, just curiosity. Why do you convert to a lossy format and not to flac?

While I have many saved in flac, making a DTS-Cd or DVD-A plays in my home stereo easily. Although I save all my raw files for any future remakes. As for my 8 track converts, sounds ok but no compare to the SQ or CD4 records.
