I'm just throwing this out there in the hopes that maybe somebody might have an idea.
But I've been thinking about the Dorren Quadraplex FM system that he designed and (eventually) did get approved.
Would it be possible, using information on this system, to create a virtual ENcoder using Adobe Audition, or Audacity or whatever Audio program is the flavour of the month?
It seems relatively feasible to me if a fellow had the right data. Take a discrete four channel file, pass it through the encoder program which would give you a 2-channel audio file suitable for broadcast. (At least, that's my take on the subject!)
Possible? Unpossible?
