Got a big family problem... something that can remind someone of the Quad heydays.
My brother is looking for a 5.1 system not only for video booms on dvd but also for music playback; the problems is, as always... the wife!
We all known that women are more inclined on the ahesteical side of the "things" so the little fight between something that "looks like" and something else that "sounds like" has already begun.
Here's a photo of something the Wife like, it's a Sony DAV - SC8 combo kit; the sound is decent but nothing more.

The question is: there is something similar (no corners, silver finish, not too big) on normal loudspeakers that can fit BOTH the look and the sound?

What about Maggies? They have an interesting 5.1 speaker system! The MMG's fold flat to the wall. http://www.magnepan.com/

Magnepan's new wall-mounted MMG W loudspeaker costs only $299 USD per pair and has a matching wide-dispersion center-channel, the MMG C, that sells for a matching $299.
