New and Improved, Spinners' third album for Atlantic (and second to be released in 1974, after Mighty Love, which was overlooked for the quad treatment for some reason) was also their third in a row to hit #1 in the US R&B charts. The album yielded a #1 pop single in the Dionne Warwicke duet Then Came You, along with a couple more Top-10 R&B hits in Sadie and Living a Little, Laughing a Little.
