i don't know if i feel more like an outdated dinasaur or a small child lost in the woods. i've been out of the tech world for some time.(30 years) i just picked up a 3340. i used to have several a3340s's and made some album quality studio recording with them. this unit records fine line in (not mic) but on playback channel one drops almost all the way out. sound like alignment? do i need an alignment tape? i private messaced decoder man. i think now i figured out how to post this- dave

ok- i see my post, i'm 1/2 way there. i don't know if it's in the right place or not. we'll see. someone please throw a newbe a bone. maybe i can help you out with some recording advice. or some heating a.c./sheet metal stuff. that's my trade now-dave

There is also the possibility that Channel 1 playback circuit pack is bad.
