While picking up a batch of older studio gear yesterday, the guy threw in this old Technics SA-8500X. I haven't even powered it up to test it out yet. Before I do, I've been searching the big tubes for a manual. No luck....and the Technics web site doesn't seem to support any legacy products.
Honestly, I'm not all that interested in quad, and if I use it at all it would most likely be in bridged mode (which is why I am looking for the manual). Before doing that, the pathetic gear wonk in me is wondering if these things aren't sufficiently rare that I would be denying some aficionado a bit of joy.
So, if someone could point me to a manual, tell me how to set it up for bridged operation, or even try to talk me out of it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
