Tonight on the LP lounge - it's another case of "The LP That Wasn't." Back in the days of Quadraphonic LPs - Sir Elton didn't seem all that interested, but by the time 2003 rolled around he saw the potential, and half a dozen or so of his LPs were re-mastered for Super Audio Compact Disc (SACD) - and these were brilliant. Sadly, you really can't play SACDs on the radio - so we partnered up with Involve Audio and their 5.0 encoder to produce tonight's special offering; Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - broadcast in surround sound for the very first time. Of course it sounds great in stereo, and with headphones, you get an idea of the mix, but if you have a current PLII decoder (most home theater systems do these days) - or and old RM or QS decoder - well, I think you'll be impressed (of course if you have one of the new Surround Master's from Australia - and you should - wow!) - It's tonight at 10pm (NYC time) right here - Radio MaxMusic - Pop Up Player
