Uher 4400 Report (stereo)

I just received a Uher 4400 that was not working and was able to bring it back to life. I only have one problem (question). HOW do you turn the dang thing off. It's running on 5 batteries and I have to pull one battery out to get the motor to stop turning.

I did download the manual several days ago and it doesn't know either or it isn't saying.

AH-HA!! Found it. It's all in the speed selector. With the speed selector lever all the way up the machine is OFF. As soon as you put in to one of the speed slots it turns ON.
