???????
THE banjo playing Leo Steve Martin????? (and as for being a painting, Martin Mull-whatever happened to him?- is a genius!)
Linda, you never cease to surprise me....

Love it...

It is Steve Martin, the wild and crazy banjo player & comic. The music is written by Steve & Edie. All lyrics are by Edie. The Steep Canyon Rangers are the band, as in Steve's Grammy winning The Crow. Peter Asher produces.

Back cover, which is a photo:

It's Jerry Landis, of Tom & Jerry, who had a hit in the late '50's with Hey Schoolgirl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brnUBbd-jGk

Tom (Graph), get your plane ride on time...ooh bop a lu che bah!
TomJerry2.jpg

that guy in the middle looks familiar, Edie's hubby...rings a bell...hmmmm...can't remember his name right now...something about Garfunkel ...or Oates...(we're number two!, we're number two!!!)

My wife, being a huge fan of Rod Stewart, requested a copy of his latest "Time."

I grabbed one from Best Buy and played it for her Saturday as we were working around the house.
I must say, this is one good CD. Very impressed with his songwriting although it seems to be the same topic (The love of his life) which one? LOL

The last song, "Pure Love" is rather haunting. Sounds as if he is saying goodbye. (The cover has him walking away with a guitar slung over his shoulder)

Wow, Linda, I knew about the "Tom & Jerry" (they DID like their Hanna-Barbera toons), but I NEVER had listened to it...and
BTW, is that Mr. Simon doin' the harmony vocals and Art doing the lower voice?????? ....verrrrrryyyyy interesting (to quote Arte Johnson).....

AND
a little reminder...
persistance DOES pay off...(and being talented too)

Gracias Mamita Linda!

Si, Senior. They released many songs, but were one hit wonders until a DJ began playing a rocked up version of their acoustic Sounds of Silencio.
