I'm trying to help my dad set-up for playback of quad files from his pc to his home theater set-up. The issue is that they are on opposite sides of the house, so it isn't possible to do over HDMI.
He's running Windows 10.
He's got a Marantz SR 5010
A samsung blu-ray player (4-5 years old)
A Roku Ultra.
Is there a network set-up that works with what he has on hand? I'm guessing the Marantz wants HDMI for multi-channel, and likely won't process multi-channel files over DLNA media-server ether-net without down sampling to two channel. (But that's just a guess) If the signal gets sent from a roku or blu-ray with the right app through HDMI maybe that would work? Any help is appreciated, and if this isn't the correct forum for this question I'll move the post if you can point me to the right place.
Thanks!
