Looks like there are no bonus tracks as someone in another thread mentioned there would be. Too bad. :(

Nope, regardless of what a couple of the pre-order web sites claimed, and I reported, there are no extra tracks on this two disc release. However, the track times are different (longer) than on the DTS disc. One reason, one good reason, is the restoration of the harmonica solo on "Stormy Monday", left off the DTS, but finally back to where it belongs. I was surprised; almost dropped my scotch!
The MC is as good as "Eat a Peach" and the sonics are better, IMO. Makes the DTS sound compressed, which I guess it was. (y)

Was "Stormy Monday" incorrect on the quad reel then also? I would assume dts just used that same master.

Can't help you with that one; I've owned the LPs, redbook CDs, DTS single and now the SA-CDs. Never heard the quads. When quads were available, the funds were not. ;)

I lucked out a couple of years ago when I was at my local used LP store. The guy there knew that I liked quad a lot and he pulled out absolutely mint CD-4 copies of both Live at the Filmore and Eat a Peach. He said that I was the only person that he figured would ever want them so he offered them to me for $5 (Canadian) each ... but I HAD to take them both. I doubt that either of them had even been played. Since then, I have a standing agreement to buy any and all quad LPs that come in ... and he seems grateful to have someone to "unload" them on. LOL Cheers, Mike.

Not "incorrect". They actually used a different show for a couple of the tracks on the CD-4, and, therefore, for the DTS CD.

BTW, there are actually TWO versions of the DTS CD, a 1 disc & a 2 disc version. Both have the tracks in the wrong order.

I don't have it yet, but I came close. The Warwick, RI Best Buy was supposed to have one come in today, but no luck finding it. They said it is being released at $20, so you guys might want to check localy.

I placed an order here for $17.95 + $2 S&H, not bad since it is going for more than $25 elswhere.

There may well be two versions of the DTC release, but, trust me, there is only on version of "Stormy Monday" from the Fillmore Concerts in general release. I know this music too well; we are talking about one performance, not two.

Also note that the track listing on the Newberry Comics order site is wrong, including the tracks I had hoped for earlier. :(

Well, I can say I like this new approach for what it is, though after all these years with the more discrete mix, no way am I gonna pitch the DTS or Quad Lp! Two different experiences, with their own charms. Great performances all around, a real keeper. Still, one can't help but feel it could have been even better.
