These are the Monitor Audio mounts that Duncan and I were eferring to. They come with a short straight arm and a square shaped one, allowing ceiling or wall mount in many positions. Check them out

Yeah, but again - my room has issues with door placements too close to the ceiling, windows too close to ceillings. It makes it super challenging to even find the space to hang these.
and in-ceiling is not an option correct?

Gene, could you possibly mount these in the ceiling? If so, you can take the wiring out through the sheetrock next to the speaker and run them in those troughs sold for surface mounted wiring. Just another idea. I know that these Klipsch in-ceiling speakers are not cheap, but they might be more closely matched to the timbre of your big Klipsch floor standers than those of another manufacturer.

I use these, and they are Klipsch, and work amazing.
Though you would need to embed them to the ceiling, setup would be a piece of cake if you have a fake ceiling, otherwise I would suggest building some speaker box, that was my case. I can help you on that. Although these wouldn't beat the target price you had for the Polk ones.

If interested, I can hook you up with a Klipsch dealer that sells cheaper than what you will find on amazon or even Ebay sometimes. Plus he handles b-stock which means that the box may be damaged but the product is fine, and goes way lower on price. Plus, top notch service!

Wall mounted Monitor Audio Radius 90's. Same mounts as for the 45's, but using the straight instead of the angled part to attach to the speakers (straight and angled part are both supplied).

My partner and I are building a new house and I got the builder to run wires in the walls for ceiling speakers, as well as rear surrounds. So once I spring for a sub, the in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, I will have a 7.1.2 Atmos system. I am way excited. I've never even had the rear surrounds!

All this Atmos talk has got me into taking the plunge. I just ordered 2 hight speakers for my home theater room. I already own an Atmos capable AVR (Sony STR-DN1080) and Definitive Technology BP2006TL mains, C1000 center and BP2X surrounds. So I am going to add Def Tech ProMonitor 800 for the front height speakers. This is going to be fun.
